Homeownership Opportunities The ACHA has a basic Homeownership Opportunity program that will assist you in owning your own home. Certain criteria have to be met to be eligible, but if you are willing to work hard and meet these criteria, owning your own home may be closer than you think. The ACHA, in alliance with Central Alabama Development Corporation, works to assist qualified candidates in becoming homeowners. We look for properties in and around Alexander City to purchase and renovate. Once renovation is complete, we can either rent it to an eligible family or sell it to a qualified person or family. We also will work with you in acquiring the loan from the lending institution.
