Mark M. Tuggle - Chairman
A native of Alexander City, AL., Mr. Tuggle has served on the Board of Commissioners since July 2004. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board.
A 1984 graduate of Benjamin Russell High School, Mr. Tuggle holds a 1986 A.S. degree from Alexander City State Junior College. He is a 1988 graduate of Auburn University with a B.S. degree in Forest Management. Representative Mark Tuggle was elected to the Alabama House of Representatives on November 2, 2010.
He has been a professional forester for more than 20 years and holds a Masters of Science in Management Degree from Faulkner Universoty. Representative Tuggle is a member of the Alexander City Lions Club and the Dadeville Kiwanis Club.
He is married and has one daughter. His hobbies include hunting, reading, and high school athletics. |

Skipper Worthy - Vice Chairman
Skipper Worthy, a native of Alexander City, Alabama, was educated in the local schools graduating from Benjamin Russell High School in 1966. Skipper then attended Auburn University and graduated in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He began his career as a banker In Alexander City, and while doing so graduated from the LSU School of Banking, and became a certified real estate appraiser at the University of New Orleans.
Skipper began his insurance career in 1981 opening the Worthy Insurance Agency in Alexander City. Worthy Insurance has been marketing life and health insurance products throughout the state of Alabama ever since.
Civic involvement through the years includes; City Council member for four years, past President of -the Colonial Lions Club, past board member for the Alexander City Dixie Youth League, past member of the Alexander City Planning Commission and member of the Alexander City Chamber of Commerce.
Skipper is married to Henri H. Worthy and has two children: Melanie Worthy Foshee and Mark Worthy. |

H. Floyd Knight
A native of Clay County, Mr. Knight was appointed to the Authority's Board of Commissioners on January 17, 1980. He was Chairman of the Board for 15 years.
After over 30 years of service Mr. Knight retired after serving as an employee with the Department of the Army, the Department of the Air Force, the office of Military Government in Berlin, Germany and the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC). He is a veteran of World War II and served in the ETO prior to, during and after the Normandy Invasion.
During his career both as a civilian and in the military he distinguished himself as an organization and personnel management specialist. In this capacity he assisted in the establishment of both the U. S. Military Government and the German Civil Government after VE day and before returning to the United States.
Since his retirement in 1975 from the AEC in Washington, D.C. he returned to Alex City and has served in various volunteer roles with Meals on Wheels, Beautification Board, United Way, First United Methodist Church, Kiwanis Club, Habitat for Humanity, Boys and Girls Clubs of America, The City of Alex City and the Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Knight is an alumnus of Sneed College and the University of Alabama. He is married to the former Wanda Rawls of Alex City and they have two sons, a grandson and three granddaughters.
At its annual convention, held in Panama City, Florida, August 28-31, 2006, the Alabama Association of Housing and Redevelopement Authorities (AAHRA), selected Mr. H. Floyd Knight, Commissioner and Chairman of the Board of Alexander City Housing Authority, as Commissioner of the Year for the State of Alabama. This is a very distinguished award because it represents 151 housing authorities throughout the state and over 750 commissioners. |

Lucille Thompson
A native of Alexander City, AL. Ms. Thompson has served on the Alexander City Board of Commissioners for a short time. She was appointed as a Commissioner in December of 2005.
Ms. Thompson is a graduate of Benjamin Russell High School. She was employed by Russell Corporation and later retired in 2003. She has three children and four grandchildren.
Mrs Thompson stated that she enjoys serving as a representative of the residents to help voice their concerns and needs.

Glenn Forbes
Glenn forbes was born in Anniston, Alabama and reared in Hobson City, Alabama. He attended Oxford High School and Alabama State University - obtaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting and computer Science. Glenn is married to Delois (Black) Forbes and they have two children, Geoffrey Glenn Williams (Tuskegee University and Georgia Tech) and Andrekia forbes - who is attending Jacksonville State University. He has served in the United States Army, serving two tours in Germany, one in Fort Rucker - Alabama and Saudi Arabia (Desert Storm). His most recent employment includes - Russell Corporation for twelve years as Personnel Manager, Corporate Staffing and College Relation's and Dollar General as Senior Field Recruiter for Alabama, Florida Panhandle and parts of Mississippi. He is currently retired and does volunteer work occasionally and lives in Kellyton, Alabama with his wife of twenty-five years. Glenn has served on board of Director's with Lake Martin Area Boys and Girls Club, North East Alabama Planning Commission, taught Junior Achievement in Benjamin Russell School System and is a member of Birmingham Society of Human Resource Management. |
